We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented cleaner to work in a meat production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the production area, ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations.
Duties includes but are not limited to:
- Clean and sanitise production areas, machinery, equipment, floors, walls, and workstations in accordance with company hygiene procedures;
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the required food safety and quality standards;
- Remove waste and dispose of it correctly following company procedures;
- Replenish cleaning materials and report any shortages or equipment faults;
- Follow all health and safety, food hygiene, and HACCP procedures;
- Maintain accurate cleaning records where required;
- Work closely with the production team;
- Identify and report any hygiene, maintenance, or safety concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Willingness to work in a meat production environment;
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Good organisational and time management skills;
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to perform other tasks when required;
- Currently in Malta with a valid work permit;
- Proficiency in English is a must. Maltese is considered an asset;
- Willing to work overtime when required.
Education and experience
- Previous cleaning experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is an advantage;
