Senior Client Accountant

Our client is seeking to recruit a Senior Client Accountant to join the team. 

Duties include:

• Manage and oversee a portfolio of clients.
• Review management accounts, VAT returns, VAT recapitulative statements, and corporate tax returns.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing timely support and guidance.
• Liaise with auditors and other external professionals.
• Coach, mentor, and develop junior members of the team.
• Delegate and review work to ensure high-quality deliverables and compliance with internal standards.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to the development of long-term client relationships.​

Requirements

• At least 2 years’ experience in a client accounting role
• Have a sound knowledge of the IFRS and GAPSME reporting standards as well as the Income Tax Act and the Value Added Tax Act.
• Conversant with standard software packages, proficient in MS Excel and ready to learn company-specific software if required.
• Ability to work in a team
• A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver within tight time frames
• Local experience is required
• Excellent communication skills in English

Education and experience

• A full qualification in accounting or close to completing a university degree at master`s level in Accounting, ACA or ACCA
