Senior Client Accountant

Our client, a boutique Corporate Services Provider (CSP) is looking for an experienced Senior Client Accountant to join their growing team. 

In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of local and international clients, delivering high-quality, timely, and compliant accounting services in line with Maltese Accounting Standards and tax legislation. You will play a vital role in strengthening client relationships while supporting the development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships, ensuring service delivery consistently meets the highest standard.
• Prepare client accounts up to management accounts level for an assigned portfolio.
• Prepare and submit regular VAT returns and individual tax returns.
• Liaise directly with external auditors and support end-to-end audit processes.
• Supervise, guide, and review the work of junior accountants within the team.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Maltese VAT legislation
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Maltese language is considered an asset
• Self-motivated, highly organized, analytical problem solver, and comfortable handling tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Education and experience

• 3 years accounting experience in Malta
• Fully ACCA qualified or near completion, would be considered an asset
