Head of Finance

Our client, operating within the retail industry, is looking to recruit a Head of Finance to join their team, oversee the finance function and lead the junior team members in their day-to-day responsibilities. 

The client is also open to considering candidates at a more junior level who demonstrate the relevant experience and potential.

Responsibilities:

• Handling invoices, payables and receivables 
• Preparing of monthly management accounts, financial statements and reports 
• Supporting with month end closing activities 
• Handling accruals and prepayments 
• Supporting payments and managing of cash and bank transactions 
• Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts 
• Handling cash flow planning and preparation of business plans 
• Handling the preparation and submission of VAT returns 
• Supporting with external audit by preparing financial records 
• Supporting the Managing Director with day to day duties 

Salary will be dependent on the candidate’s level of experience and seniority.

Requirements

• Holding a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience working in a similar role locally
• Excellent verbal and written English and Maltese
