Financial Reporting Senior

Our client is seeking to recruit a Financial Reporting Senior to join the team. 

Duties will include:

• Conducting in-depth research on financial reporting standards and regulations, with a focus on IFRS and GAPSME.
• Preparing detailed advisory reports for clients, offering insights and guidance on financial reporting matters.
• Drafting and reviewing financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Developing and delivering presentations on complex financial reporting topics to clients and internal teams.
• contributing to the firm’s thought leadership by drafting articles on financial reporting trends and developments.
• Preparation of consolidation workings and other workings as required in line with GAPSME or IFRS.

Requirements

• Solid experience in accounting, or audit with a keen interest in transitioning or specialising in Financial Reporting.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting frameworks, particularly IFRS and GAPSME.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to manage data and create reports effectively.
• An analytical mindset, demonstrating a passion for technical accounting and a commitment to staying current with industry standards and changes.

Education and experience

• A qualified accountant or a professional in the final stages of their ACCA qualification.
