A reputable client of ours, specialised within the Financial industry is looking to onboard a Financial Accountant to join their team. The designated person will be reporting to the Financial Controller, and will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation:
Duties:
- File, and post weekly cashbook and monthly bank statements for all own and client funds bank accounts.
- Review and clear suspense accounts regularly while performing thorough purchase/bank/sales ledger reconciliations.
- Process, code, and post client invoices to Netsuite accounting systems in line with company procedures
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and assist in resolving reconciling differences
- Undertake additional accounting, administrative and finance- related duties as assigned by the Financial Controller.
- Support month-end and year-end activities by preparing and posting journal entries and balance sheet accounts.
- Provide monthly Key Performance Indicator and Key Risk Indicator reporting to the Risk Manager and Financial Controller.
- Collate documentation and liaise directly with external auditors during the annual audits
- Act as the direct deputy cover for the Financial Controller to complete statutory returns when required.
- Conduct analytical reviews on prospective clients' financial statements and forecasts to reduce corporate financial exposure.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' local experience in a similar accounting role.
- Previous experience in e-money/payments, banking, or corporate treasury is an advantage
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and organize work efficiently
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills.
Education and experience
- Must be AAT qualified, or equivalent, and ideally be working towards being fully qualified
