Our client, an established company within the Travel & Tourism industry, is seeking a proactive Finance Manager to lead its finance team and report directly to the Group CFO. This role suits an independent, detail-oriented professional who can manage a small team of 2 individuals and maintain strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate should have a curuous mindset and approach challenges proactively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present timely monthly management accounts
- Supervise, delegate, and review tasks for a small team of junior accounting personnel.
- Oversee daily liquidity, working capital forecasts, and cash flow across business units.
- Manage the accurate preparation and timely submission of VAT returns and statutory filings.
- Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors, banks, tax authorities, and government entities.
Requirements
- ACCA qualified or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance is considered an asset
- A minimum 3 years of experience working in a similar role
- Strong leadership, excellent written and verbal communication, and a meticulous, highly organized approach.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision, prioritize work effectively, and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communications skills in both English and Maltese is considered an asset
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Vlookups & Macros) and modern accountin software.
