Finance Lead

Our client, within the education industry is looking to recruit a Finance Lead to join their growing team.

Main responsibilities :

  • Manage day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate processing of transactions, reconciliations, journals, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, financial records, and audit documentation.
  • Lead the monthly close process and prepare management accounts, including profit and loss reporting, balance sheets, and variance analysis for leadership review.
  • Maintain cost allocation frameworks and provide financial insights to support profitability and operational decision-making.
  • Develop and monitor cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial plans, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Implement and maintain effective financial controls, approval processes, supplier governance, and compliance procedures.
  • Oversee invoicing, receivables, and collections to support strong cash flow management.
  • Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisers to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audit readiness through accurate record-keeping, reconciliations, and documentation.
  • Provide timely financial reporting, dashboard metrics, and analysis to support executive and Board decision-making.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; experience with Microsoft Navision and/or Business Central is considered an advantage.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in an accounting or finance role.
