Finance Clerk

Our client, a leading retail store is looking to recruit a Finance Clerk to join their team.

Main responsibilities :

• Preparing, processing, and maintaining financial documentation, including purchase invoices, sales invoices, and receipts.
• Conducting End-of-Day (EOD) procedures to ensure the accurate recording of daily transactions.
• Performing monthly account reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies identified.
• Preparing and posting payments accurately within the accounting system.
• Responding to and resolving internal finance-related queries in a timely manner.
• Providing support to customers and suppliers by addressing and resolving financial queries and issues.
• Assisting with month-end closing activities and related financial reporting tasks.
• Supporting the Finance Executive during inventory audits as required.
• Investigating and posting inventory adjustments to correct discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Carrying out administrative duties, including completing forms, filing documents, and handling telephone and email correspondence.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of all financial and service-related information.
• Undertaking any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Fluent in both English and Maltese.

Education and experience

• An O Level Standard of Education
