Credit Controller

Our client in the Industrial Services Industry is looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join their team.

Main responsibilities :

• Monitor customer accounts and track outstanding balances to ensure effective credit control.
• Ensure the timely collection of outstanding invoices and payments.
• Follow up on overdue accounts by contacting customers via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Review and assess customer credit limits and payment terms in line with company policies.
• Prepare and issue customer account statements.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with customers where necessary.
• Escalate overdue and delinquent accounts for debt recovery or legal action when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer communications, account activity, and payment history.
• Collaborate with the Sales and Finance teams to resolve credit-related matters and support effective account management.

Requirements

• Sound knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a related finance role.
• Knowledge of credit management principles and debt collection practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Education and experience

• An O Level Standard of Education
