We are seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our finance team, supporting the financial management of a diverse portfolio of client companies. The role focuses on corporate accounting, statutory compliance, and group reporting, ensuring that all entities meet their regulatory obligations in Malta. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, detail-oriented, and experienced in working within a multi-company CSP environment
Duties include:
Preparation of management accounts and financial statements in accordance with GAPSME or IFRS.
Managing complex intercompany transactions and multi-currency reconciliations
Ensuring full compliance with Maltese corporate, tax, and statutory requirements.
Preparation and submission of Corporate Income Tax Returns, Claim for refunds, VAT returns and corporate tax computations for a varied portfolio
Liaising with external auditors, tax advisors, the Malta Business Registry (MBR), and the Commissioner for Revenue
Supporting management and clients with financial analysis, cash flow forecasts, and performance reports.
Maintaining and improving internal controls and automated accounting processes to increase efficiency.
Requirements
Minimum two (2) years’ experience specifically within a corporate accounting, audit, or CSP environment.
Degree in Accounting or fully ACCA qualified (or equivalent). Candidates must ideally hold a warrant
Strong knowledge of Maltese corporate accounting principles, the Companies Act, Income Tax Act and Value Added Tax Act.
Proven ability to manage multiple client entities simultaneously while meeting strict regulatory deadlines.
Previous exposure to the audit process, Malta tax compliance matters and MBR liaison.
Experience dealing with diverse international group structures.
