Client Accounting Manager

Our client, a local CSP is looking to recruit a Client Accounting Manager to join their growing team.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the Accounting team in managing clients’ day-to-day accounting activities, month-end closing processes, VAT and income tax returns, and the preparation of management accounts.
• Manage the delivery of regulatory reporting and advisory services to financial institutions and other regulated entities, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance.
• Design, implement, and oversee effective business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for clients.
• Develop and implement robust internal controls, accounting policies, and finance processes tailored to clients across a range of industries.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage internal audit assignments for clients, including identifying risks and recommending improvements.
• Stay abreast of developments across the financial and non-financial sectors, including regulatory and industry changes, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the value delivered to clients.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members, ensuring structured training, continuous professional development, and effective knowledge transfer.
• Foster a high-performing team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, technical excellence, and client service.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, including IFRS and GAPSME, and a solid understanding of accounting best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to assess complex issues and provide practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, regulatory authorities, and team members.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Education and experience

• Qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior accounting or finance position.
