We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Chief Accountant to join a luxury Resort & Spa in the Paphos area. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong experience in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
Coordinate with and act as the main point of contact for external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate audit completion.
Ensure full compliance with accounting standards and local regulatory requirements.
Provide financial insights, analysis, and strategic recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
Lead, supervise, and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements:
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
High attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
Solid knowledge of hotel accounting systems and financial reporting practices.
Education and Experience
BSc in Accounting / Finance or related field
ACCA or ACA qualification
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the hotel or resort industry
