On behalf of our client, a reputable firm providing tax, audit, and business consultancy services, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their growing team in Nicosia. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 3–5 years of bookkeeping experience who is looking to join a supportive and dynamic environment, working with a diverse portfolio of local and international clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
  • Process and reconcile payroll transactions where required.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with clients to obtain accounting information and supporting documentation.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and assist the audit team when required.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, and company policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to deliver high-quality client service and meet deadlines.

Main Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software such as CaseWare, Intelisoft, E-Soft, or similar accounting systems will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Professional attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Maintain accurate accounting records for a portfolio of clients.
  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with Cyprus tax regulations.

Education and experience

  • LCCI Higher, AAT qualification, or a diploma/degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of proven bookkeeping experience, preferably within an accounting, audit, or professional services firm.
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written.
