Accounts Officer – (Part time)

Seeking an Accounts Officer to oversee the sales cycle and maintain accurate accounting records. Key focus includes reconciling sales software with the main accounting system, posting invoices and payments promptly, and actively monitoring aged receivables.

Key Responsibilities

• Aged Receivables: Monitor aged debt, highlight overdue balances, and prepare follow-up schedules.
• System Reconciliation: Reconcile revenue, customer balances, and transaction data between sales software and the accounting system; investigate discrepancies.
• Invoicing & Payments: Post customer receipts and supplier payments against relevant invoices. Post sales/purchase invoices with correct GL coding and VAT treatment.
• Bank & Control Accounts: Complete routine bank reconciliations and assist with control account reconciliations.
• Documentation: Maintain orderly electronic and physical financial files.

Requirements

• Practical experience in bookkeeping or accounts receivable.
• Familiarity with standard accounting software and sales/POS systems.
• Solid understanding of basic VAT treatment and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organization skills.
