Are you an experienced professional who can take on an Accounting Manager role, overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining compliance with relevant standards and regulations and supporting the organization’s overall financial performance?
On behalf of our client, an independent audit, tax and advisory firm based in Nicosia, we are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, transaction recording, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, budgets, and forecasts
Present financial insights and results to senior management to support informed decision-making
Act as a strategic partner by contributing to the development and implementation of financial and operational plans
Supervise, train, and review the accounting team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
Review and approve VAT returns, VIES forms, and other statutory submissions
Liaise with tax authorities and external stakeholders on accounting and tax-related matters
Provide guidance to clients on accounting, VAT, and compliance-related topics
Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and high-quality service delivery
Monitor project performance, ensure timely invoicing, and follow up on outstanding balances
Undertake any other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
ACA/ACCA qualified with a University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Over 5 years of audit firm experience, including at least 3 years post qualification
Excellent knowledge of Cyprus accounting standards and regulations
Excellent Communication skills in Greek & English
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
Adaptable and demonstrating high integrity with a positive, can-do attitude
