We are working with a small family office administration team who are looking for an accounts associate to join their team on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working across a variety of tasks and appreciates the close-knit, collaborative nature of a private family office environment. The successful candidate will contribute directly to the day-to-day financial management and administration of the office, working alongside a small, dedicated team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accounting records, process bookkeeping entries, and perform reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts, financial summaries, and periodic financial reports.
- Process invoices, payments, and employee expense claims accurately and within established deadlines.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers as required.
- Support VAT submissions, tax filings, and statutory compliance requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
- Maintain accurate, organised, and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
- Provide support with ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and administrative activities as required by senior management.
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
- Hands-on and detail-oriented approach — willing to roll up your sleeves and take ownership of tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard Office applications
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of English, and an understanding of Maltese is preferred
- High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
