We are working with a local private school who are looking for a part-timer to join their team and assist with Accounting and Payroll duties.
This role is on a part-time basis, where you will be expected to work around 25 hours per week, from 8.30am until 13:30pm. Hours will be reduced significantly during summer time.
Responsibilities
Accounting
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including posting invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Prepare, process and effect payments to suppliers and other third parties, as directed and pre-authorised.
- Follow up and process amounts due from clients as directed and pre-authorised.
Payroll
- Process monthly payroll, including salaries, deductions, leave, and other employee-related payments.
- Ensure payroll records are maintained accurately and that payroll-related deadlines and statutory requirements are met.
- Assist with employee registrations, terminations, and payroll-related documentation as required.
- Act as the main point of contact for employee questions and queries in relation to payroll.
Other Admin Duties
- Assist and support in general administrative and other organisational functions as directed and pre-authorised.
- Assist and process reporting and other projects as directed and pre-authorised.
