Accountant

A group of companies operating in various industries is looking for an Accountant to join their team:

Main responsibilities :

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and consolidation schedules for management review.
• Conduct reconciliations across various financial statement accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, together with other statutory financial reports required by the relevant authorities.
• Liaise with external auditors and assist with the preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns.
• Provide support on ad hoc finance and accounting matters as required.
• Support, guide, and mentor junior members of the finance team, promoting accuracy and professional development.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting or audit; previous experience in a similar role will be considered an advantage.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel, with experience using accounting software.

Education and experience

• Currently in the final stages of, or fully qualified as, an accountant.
