Technical Support Specialist


Our well established financial client is urgently recruiting for a Technical Support Specialist. You would join an established team, providing essential IT support to internal users.

This role offers shift work, either in the morning from 8:15 - 4:30 or 12-8PM. Saturday's will also be required but on a rotating basis.


  • Use time management skills to triage, troubleshoot, and fix technical issues with hardware and software
  • Train internal users on efficient and secure ways of using various devices and software
  • Maintain business continuity plans
  • Maintain and secure various user access and groups
  • Ensure vital and routine upgrades, updates, and check on various internal systems
  • Support data center operations while upholding the highest security standards

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Positive, team focused attitude
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • 2+ years of experience in 1st line support within a Windows environment
  • Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft O365, and Microsoft Server Reporting Services
  • Enthusiasm and experience with SQL would be considered an asset
  • Exposure to IBM systems would be considered an asset

Education & Experience

  • MCAST Diploma related to IT
  • University Degree in IT related field would be considered an asset
