Technical Support Engineer

Malta  |  €30,000 - €35,000 

Our financial services client is urgently seeking a technical and experienced Technical Support Engineer to join their established team. This is a great international working atmosphere with offices based in Malta and globally.

Candidates will be required to relocate to Malta

Responsibilities:

  • Setup new environments and manage releases, help automate release processes of all systems
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day issues, and provide customer support, as part of our on-call technical support team
  • Maintain regular operations 
  • Ensure uptime SLAs are adhered to
  • Provide administrative support for proprietary systems
  • Maintain automated monitoring at all levels (hardware, networking, virtualization, OS, databases, applications on hardware and cloud) 
  • Develop or implement tools for system monitoring, identification, and problem solving, automated release and disaster recovery processes

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Rundeck, Ansible and Puppet would be an asset
  • Experience working with Java-based applications, MySQL and Linux is a must

Education & Experience

You have a BSc. in ICT or Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
