IT Technical Support


A reputable company based in Malta is looking for a proactive and motivated individual to join their team as an IT Technical Support. They are searching for a junior professional who wants to grow in their career and have the opportunity to work in an engaging and dynamic environment. Within the role you will be responsible to:

  • Providing support to internal users regarding Software and Hardware problems
  • Following the company's processes and procedures in order to ensure that support tasks are logged and completed
  • Maintaining communications assets and inventory of IT hardware
  • Executing any administrative tasks related to maintenance procedures and supporting backup required by the IT department
  • Encouraging technology within the company and delivering training for internal users as for tools and applications
  • Conducting IT-related offboarding and onboarding procedures and the configuration of Active Directory, computer profiles, email and applications access control
  • Making sure that security tools installed on computer systems are set up according to IT standards and updated
  • Carrying out configuration, installation, testing and ongoing maintenance of all computers, technology devices, printers and applications (new and existing)
  • Configuring and keeping communication tools available for control room, office telephony systems and call centre
  • Identifying and providing upgrades for computer systems
  • Cooperating with and escalating issues to suppliers and partners as needed
  • Helping the projects and telematics teams to reach common department goals
  • Transferring knowledge to other team members (on-the-job assistance)
  • Assuring that all department personnel are informed and trained about technologies and procedures

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English
  • Good knowledge in IT Technical Support on Windows Operating Systems (client/server applications)
  • Good knowledge in active directory
  • Knowledge in Office 365 products and SharePoint
  • Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, WAN /LAN)
  • Knowledge of SQL Server
  • Flexibility
  • A strong problem-solving mindset
  • Administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent
  • Fresh graduates are welcome
