Helpdesk Support Technician

Malta  |  €17,000 - €19,000  

A leading company in Malta is looking to employ a Helpdesk Support Technician. The selected candidate, who will form part of the ICT team, must be a highly motivated individual who will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the internal users.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely resolution.
  • Document support activities and resolutions in ticketing system.
  • Hardware installation and troubleshooting of desktop / laptop devices.
  • Maintain and update inventory of hardware and software company assets.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Escalate service requests that cannot be scheduled within the agreed service levels.
  • Assist in the timeliest manner according to internal SLAs.
  • Assist in technology procurement.

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Previous experience in helpdesk or other IT Support roles & any IT related qualifications will be considered and asset
  • Working within a compliant environment (GDPR) and ensuring that compliance requirements are met
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and other productivity software
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to conduct basic troubleshooting
  • Good understanding of basic IT terminology
  • Analytical/Logical thinking

Education & Experience

Certification in a related field would be considered an asset
