Application Support Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1st and 2nd level Application Support to internal users.
  • Managing the ticketing system, escalating and reporting issues.
  • Communicating closely with DevOps, SysOps, Software Developers, IT Technicians, Infrastructure Specialists and IT Managers in order to troubleshoot and propose efficient solutions.
  • Using ITIL principles and constantly contributing to improve procedures and policies.
  • Understanding business processes to tackle incidents accordingly.
  • Checking information on Application and System Logs to solve recurrent issues.
  • Taking part of new application onboarding processes and signing off new improvements on existing ones.
  • Performing any other duties as required.

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Strong knowledge/experience with Jira, Confluence, Datadog, Kibana, Jenkins, Grafana, Raygun.
  • Scripting and query skills with SQL, PL\SQL, MYSQL, Oracle SQL Developer, PostgreSQL.
  • Strong knowledge/experience with Microservice Architecture, such as Kubernetes and Kafka.
  • Knowledge/experience with SOAP UI & Postman.
  • Strong knowledge of Relational Databases.
  • Knowledge of scripting tools, such as PowerShell and Bash, will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritize and memorize a sequence of events.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
