System Implementation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled System Implementation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and documentation capabilities, along with expertise in business process re-engineering and analysis of existing solutions. The primary responsibility of the System Implementation Specialist will be to translate business needs, including Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) designs, into comprehensive business requirements. Additionally, the candidate will be involved in various tasks throughout the software lifecycle, including system design, development, implementation, testing, and support. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, and fluency in one (1) of the official languages of Malta (both written and spoken) is required.

The role is for a definitive 3-year project, and may be extended by a further 3-years.


  • Assess existing solutions from both a business and technical perspective and document the current state ("as-is" state).
  • Conduct meetings with various stakeholders to understand business needs.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities for business and operational development.
  • Perform business process re-engineering and service re-design.
  • Analyze requirements, collaborate with technical staff, and prepare proposals for system modifications or replacements.
  • Evaluate current systems, identify application problems by consulting with users, and develop solutions by preparing and assessing alternative options.
  • Propose specifications for modifications or new systems, based on market research and recommend suitable hardware to support those specifications.
  • Assist in coordinating, supervising, and managing specific IT-related projects and programs.
  • Perform tasks as required throughout the entire software/project development life cycle.
  • Collaborate with the Project Leader, business owners, and other key stakeholders to ensure sustainable environments for the development and deployment of new solutions.
  • Work closely with software developers to ensure accurate translation of business requirements into technical needs.
  • Plan and manage effective communication sessions, including training for users, and provide ongoing support and advice.
  • Generate high-quality documents and written reports adhering to applicable standards, methods, and tools. This includes user manuals and training materials.




  • At least three years of experience in systems implementation.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in conducting business process re-engineering and analysis of existing solutions.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in one (1) of the official languages of Malta (both written and spoken).

Education & Experience

Minimum Diploma in ICT and/or Business and ICT or equivalent at MQF level 5 (or higher).
