Our client, a leading financial services provider who is seeking a skilled IT Manager to coordinate the IT function within the group. You will be implementing IT strategies to support business objectives while ensuring regulatory compliance. The role involves managing IT governance, security, project management and operations to enhance system integrity and efficiency.
The Role
- Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business goals and regulatory standards.
- Establish IT policies and best practices to maintain data security and operational efficiency.
- Oversee IT governance frameworks to manage risk and ensure compliance.
- Manage daily IT operations, ensuring system availability, performance, and security.
- Supervise core insurance platforms such as policy administration, claims management, and underwriting systems.
- Ensure effective business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
- Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, technology rollouts, and digital transformations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to SLAs.
- Implement cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive business and customer data.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Proficiency in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and insurance technology systems.
- Minimum 7 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- A positive and can-do attitude even when under pressure.
- Highly developed project management skills.
