IT Application Business Support Specialist

Our client is growing their IT department and they are looking for a IT Application Business Support Specialist to join their team here in Malta.

Your Responsibilities:

• Analyze, investigate, and troubleshoot business process incidents, including technical and procedural issues.
• Ensure timely resolution of all production incidents according to defined SLAs within the Business Support function.
• Proactively establish application and process monitoring using tools to prevent production issues.
• Take ownership of and coordinate production incidents involving Business, Technical, and third-party providers.
• Allocate business requirements between support and development, addressing support tickets as needed.
• Prioritize and escalate technical issues as required.
• Develop and maintain documentation for business processes.
• Contribute to projects, business analysis, development lifecycles, and hotfix testing.
• Monitor production deployments to ensure stability.
• Establish business continuity plans for critical systems.
• Generate reports from business systems as needed.

 

Skill-sets and Requirements

• At least 2 years of work experience in a Business/Application Support position.
• Good knowledge on both SQL and Jira.
• Familiarity with database reporting and Agile methodology.
• Be comfortable to work with external clients.
• Excellent analytical and time management skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
