Business Systems Analyst

Our client, a well-established company in the IT industry, is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join their team. This role focuses mainly on evaluating requirements, estimating costs, and establishing system protocols. Forming part of the Projects Delivery Team, your responsibilities will include the following: 

  • Carrying out analysis and interpretation of client requirements in light of the existing software systems 
  • Performing gap analysis of new requirements against existing functionality
  • Assisting in managing client delivery and release schedules for projects, changes, service requests and mandatory releases as per clients’ SLAs
  • Taking responsibility for the overall progress of assigned tasks upon which you will be working with strict adherence to SLA and quality standards
  • Acting as a central point of contact (via e-mail, teleconferencing and on-site workshops) for clients in order to understand, gather and analyse their business requirements
  • Documenting high-level test cases to ensure that the QA team has the necessary knowledge to prepare functional and regression test cases and viable acceptance criteria
  • Participating in the review of the detailed test cases with the QA team to ensure it meets client requirements
  • Creating viable specifications which lead to applicable acceptance criteria and High-Level Test Cases emerging from client requirements
  • Delivering releases to clients and providing support during implementation
  • Participating in onsite support or training as per clients’ request
  • Liaising with Quality Assurance Team to perform audits and recommend corrective actions were necessary and to monitor corrective actions

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Extensive experience in business requirements gathering, business requirements definition, and system configuration and design
  • 1 to 4 years of work experience in a similar role
  • Must be proficient in SQL Language
  • Must be able to facilitate remote and face to face client meetings
  • Preferably have knowledge of user stories or use cases
  • Willing to cover some on call duties
  • Previous experience in documenting high level test cases.

Education & Experience

Advanced Diploma in ICT/Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics or Software Development/ in Computer Science
