Systems Administrator

A well established local family run business is looking for an ICT Administrator/Python Developer to join its IT team.  The selected candidate will be maintaining the software, gathering feedback and assisting in the implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Write effective, scalable code for our cloud system that align with the client's business needs
• Integrate code with third-party applications and web services
• Test and debug system enhancements
• Improve functionality of existing systems
• Implement security and data protection solutions
• Assess and prioritize feature requests
• Coordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions
• Be the 1st line of support on the software
• Supporting of end-user issues and also company ICT infrastructure including servers, network equipment, CCTV and telephony
• Liaise with the IT Manager on duties that may arise

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM)
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5) is a plus
• Experience in IT Administration and hardware is a plus, but training will be provided
• Good problem-solving skills
• Keen to learn with a team spirit attitude

Education & Experience

• Qualification in Python development (work experience is a plus, but training on our system will be provided)
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field is a plus
