System Administrator / IT Advisory

An established entity in Malta is looking to employ a System Administrator / IT Advisory. The client is a dynamic global business network of independent firms providing accounting, audit, tax, business advisory, and commercial legal services

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring of all networks and services to ensure high availability.
• Provide first-level support and troubleshooting.
• Responsible for the resolution of hardware and software issues, deployment of new systems, and reinstallation of operating systems as required.
• Monitoring and analysis of security alerts, audit logs, and reports.
• Maintain systems through scheduled patching and upgrades.
• Assisting with planning and internal and external ISMS implementations and audits to meet relevant international standards requirements.
• Reporting on the design and operational effectiveness of information security controls.
• Monitoring the progress of corrective actions against remediation plans.
• Document design, development, implementation, control, and maintenance.
• Assisting the Compliance departments / Auditors with the review of audit reports.
• Ensuring final reports are issued with all recommendations.
• Review reports submitted by third parties in case of any breaches.
• Performing systems audits in line with relevant authority’s requirements.
• Carrying out framework implementations and internal audits in line with approved methodologies.
• Communicating directly with the clients.
• Documenting network applications and system infrastructure, and other IT and IS-related policies and procedures.

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Broad knowledge of networking, subnetting and addressing, and VLANs
• Possess an understanding of the need for information security for businesses and customers alike.
• Possess an understanding of risk management and control frameworks.
• The ability and interest to perform technical audits and implementations on ICT infrastructures and information security controls.
• The ability to analyse and interpret information and report conclusions in formats aligned with the target audience.
• The ability to communicate and interact effectively with staff at all organisational levels.
• The ability to perform assignments from beginning to end with limited supervision.
• Strong technical knowledge of various enterprise technologies and ICT infrastructures.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science Information Security, or similar fields.
• Vendor certification such as CCNA, MCSA, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or higher
