Linux System Administrator

Our client, specializing in offering software solutions to its clients is looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to join their growing team. You will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with maintaining and administering Linux systems, troubleshooting issues, providing technical support, and network security.

Responsibilities:

dLead the deployment, configuration, and management of Redhat Linux systems, including the utilization of Redhat Satellite for patch management, provisioning, and monitoring.

Implement and maintain IDM solutions to ensure effective user authentication, authorization, and access control across the organization.

Oversee the design and management of DHCP and DNS services to ensure seamless network connectivity and domain resolution.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of our Linux infrastructure, utilizing best practices and automation techniques.

Implement security measures, regular audits, and compliance checks to safeguard our Linux environment against vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to industry standards.

Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve complex Linux-related incidents and issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous operations.

Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of team members.

Utilize your foundational knowledge of cloud platforms to explore opportunities for hybrid cloud integrations and help guide the organization's cloud strategy.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members, contributing to their professional growth and skill development.

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Redhat Linux administration and technologies, including Redhat Satellite, IDM, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and task simplification.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and version control systems (e.g., Git)

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
