IT Support Analyst

Malta  |  €28,000 - €31,000 

An international Insurance company is seeking to employ an IT Support Specialist to join their IT team. The selected candidate will act as the initial point of contact between the different offices in Malta and Gibraltar. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely response, remote as well as desktop support to internal users in Malta and Gibraltar locations following standard procedures and troubleshooting
  • Utilize Service Desk procedures to log, record, categorize and escalate user incidents and requests directly into the Incident Management System
  • Provide innovative business solutions to maintain optimal technological performance, providing Tier I/II & Tier Ill operational support for desktops/laptops deployments, A/V, telephony, mobile and infrastructure systems as required
  • Liaise with external consultants, suppliers and service providers and the internal IT department to discuss or resolve issues/problems
  • Develop an understanding of the company's environment and provide a centralized, helpful, customer focused service for the users and share knowledge
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and healthy team-member relationships through effective communication, collaboration and proactive relationship management
  • Assist in company Infrastructure with network troubleshooting & File Server Management
  • Provide occasional after hour support upon request outside of normal office hour duties
  • Provide status updates about outages in accordance to the incident and problem management guidelines.
  • Assist with the development and policing of the IT departmental Service Level Agreement, policies and procedures

 

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience administering in global Enterprise infrastructure environments
  • Experience administering in Microsoft domain environments (Active Directory, Exchange,
  • Possess a professional and courteous telephone manner with the ability to build good working relationships with the users quickly within a busy, dynamic environment
  • Experience and knowledge of backup and disaster recovery systems and architectures, including policy documentation management
  • Familiarity with Office365, SharePoint & CRM an asset
  • In-depth experience with digital communications systems (MS Teams, 3CX and mobile devices such as Android/iOS)

Education & Experience

  • A degree in a related field
  • Technical certifications such as Microsoft, A+, Network+
