Fixed Access Networks Engineer

Our client, a leader in the telecoms industry, is actively recruiting for an experienced Fixed Access Network Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of fixed access network technologies and a passion for problem solving.

The responsibilities will include:

• Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot fixed access networks
• Research and recommend improved solutions as well as introduce new equipment and systems
• Perform network capacity planning and performance optimization
• Maintain systems and exploit opportunities for improvement
• Plan and prepare projects and systems documentation

Skill-sets and Requirements

• 2+ years’ working experience in WDM/HFC/CCAP access technologies
• Preferably have a CCNA and Linux qualifications
• Preferable working experience in DAA architectures (R-PHY/R-MACPHY)
• Excellent communications and organisation skills
• Be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision and take own initiative
• Possess a valid driving license

Education & Experience

A Degree in a Telecommunications/ IT related field
