DevOps Tech Lead

Malta

Our well-established client is urgently seeking a DevOps Tech Lead to join their team in Malta that will be instrumental in implementing automation pipelines for the Business and technology teams. 

Responsibilities:

  • Use your DevOps skills to improve and maintain the Continuous Integration/ Delivery infrastructure
  • Lead a team and ensure their mentorship
  • Interact with product management, project management, development and operations teams to plan, validate and execute software releases and system rollouts
  • Plan, develop, and roll out new software as needed
  • Liaise with various business segments to produce a holistic approach to growing business needs
  • Work closely with software development, QA, test automation, and Application operations teams
  • Grow your DevOps skills by staying up to date with the newest technologies
  • Work in an Agile environment and mentor and train your team on best practices
  • Guide your team to meet deadlines, maintain and exceed KPIs and manage all aspects of the software development lifecycle

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in DevOps
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as GIT, Ansible, Maven, Jenkins, Liquibase, Cucumber, Docker, SonarQube, Nexus and HashiCorp Vault
  • Strong experience deploying and using HashiCorp Nomad, Docker Swarm or Kubernetes and other container/workload orchestration solutions
  • Have sound knowledge of DBMS platforms and SQL
  • Experience with Bash, Groovy and other scripting languages

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent level of technical background
  • Holding Technical certifications in DevOps would be highly advantageous
