Application Support Specialist

Malta

A young and dynamic company, leaders in the Aviation Industry, are looking for an Application Support Specialist to join their IT team. The selected candidate must be able to work on their own initiative with a professional approach and attitude. The Application Support Specialist will liaise with the Malta offices as well as other colleagues based in Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for Application Support queries.
  • Understand the company’s business processes.
  • Deliver high level customer service to a wide range of users, including those with minimal IT knowledge
  • Observe Organizational / Service Level Agreements for the resolution of tickets
  • Be proactive to identify trends/ problems which might lead to business disruption or security breaches.
  • Represent the IT Application Support Desk in the project deployment lifecycle process.
  • Constantly communicate with other team members on feedback provided by users.

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Experience or certification in ITIL
  • Knowledge of an ITSM tool.
  • People skills in managing client or stakeholder requests
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
  • Understand telecommunication systems
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages and application development would be an advantage
  • Aviation experience, specifically Cargo business, would be an advantage

Education & Experience

Higher National Diploma or 3+ years in complex environments working in teams with a focus on customer/stakeholder service provision
