Maritime Instructor (Yachting)


A new Maritime Instructor position is now available within the Maritime industry, where your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with the Head of Academy on courses to be delivered as well as conducting courses, including teaching, training and assessing students in line with the Academy Tutorial Policy
  • Ensuring that students are correctly enrolled with the Academy, maintaining students' records of progress and reporting to the relevant bodies
  • Monitoring constant compliance with the requirements of the company's Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Promoting the principle of effective learning and equality of opportunity among both students and staff
  • Maintaining course records, preparing schemes of work, lesson and assessment plans and carrying out other ad hoc duties as required

  • Possess a commitment to achieving service excellence
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from a Maritime or a Navy Institution
  • Holder of either STCW II/2 Captain or Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in the Maritime or Navy Industry
  • Experience in the Yachting Industry will be considered an asset
