Technical Buyer - Electronics

Malta

A vacancy for a Technical Buyer in Electronics has now arisen. In this role, you will be working in the purchasing department of our client and your main responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating purchasing requirements and negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure the purchase of goods whilst achieving competitive and advantageous commercial terms;
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders in formulating needs and identifying the most competitive suppliers;
  • Ensuring that the purchased materials are delivered in a timely manner and conformant with company quality standards and procedures;
  • Establishing and maintaining stores & purchasing policies and procedures by managing and monitoring procurement reporting systems;
  • Identifying procurement and supplier risk and document them accordingly;
  • Maintain records of the goods ordered and received;
  • Analysing market opportunities and plan material resource to meet customer requirements.

 

Education and Experience

  • At least five years experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing set-up
  • Technical buying experience and knowledge is a necessity
  • Deep understanding and professional experience in a manufacturing setting and with Purchasing Contracts
  • Proven track record of negotiating skills and procurement savings
  • Fluency of English language is necessary

  • Excellent multi-tasking and negotiating skills
  • Excellent communication skills with leadership qualities
  • Ability to prioritize your work and perform effectively under pressure and within specific deadlines
  • Have strong knowledge of using MS Office tools
