Procurement Officer

Our client is looking for a Procurement Officer to to join their growing team. Your responsibilities include but not limited to: 

• Assist and report to the Senior Procurement Officer.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with all vendors.
• Create and send purchase orders to vendors.
• Follow up with vendors for order confirmations and estimated arrival times.
• Continuously update and maintain the system.
• Source and negotiate the best possible terms and prices.
• Achieve departmental and individual targets.
• Collaborate and assist with various company departments.
• Obtain necessary documentation from vendors, including delivery notes, packing lists, invoices, certifications, etc.
• Ensure correct ordering of products and materials based on the organization's demand and maintain adequate inventory levels.
• Analyze system data and act accordingly.
• Generate and maintain reports.
• Assist with stock and asset inventory.
• Help with supplier agreements.
• Lead and adhere to all company Standard Operational Procedures.
• Follow the Group’s Human Resources (HR) Policies and Procedures.
• Comply with the Group’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.
• Adhere to the Group’s Site Surveillance guidelines.
• Comply with the Group’s Quality Management System.

Requirements

• Being exposed to an ERP system (acumatica being preferred).
• Must be comfortable around technology and proficient with Micrsoft365.
• Excellent command of Maltese & English. Other languages will be considered an asset.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Goal-oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team.

Education and Experience

• Previous experience working in Maritime, Oil & Gas.
• Relevant qualification related to procurement and/or supply chain.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in supply chain & procurement.
