Procurement Officer (SOUTH OF MALTA)

Our client is one of the most esteemed clients in Malta. They would like to engage a Purchasing Officer as their team is growing

The Role

• You will work closely with Supply Chain managers, Logistics & Procurement Managers, Category Managers, Credential and Marketing team
• You will create purchase orders in Oracle and turning requisitions into Purchase Orders
• Perform daily transactions in Oracle to receive & ship goods
• Maintain Purchase Order ledger to cater for delivery dates and update as necessary
• Request quotes in a timely manner
• Extend the renewals task to all projects
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Team and Credentials to create requested items and
  Bill of Materials in Agile
• Create new suppliers in Oracle
• Ensure ERP system is properly updated
• Register freight invoices and communicating them to finance
• Pro-actively support resolution of invoice queries by being the main interface to
  finance
• Register imports and exports
• Support ad hoc shipping requests where DHL is deemed appropriate
• Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and
  other management as required
• Create the necessary reporting as required by the business
• Conduct monthly inventory
• Monitor slow and obsoletes with the objective of staying within defined target

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Advanced user of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas - A MUST
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in procurement skills
• Previous experience with ERPs and particularly Oracle/Agile would-be a plus
• Be proactive and highly motivated
• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn is key

Education & Experience

Degree in Procurement, Business, Purchasing or related disciplines is considered as a strong asset but not a must
