Our client, a leading company in Malta, would like to engage a Procurement Manager to join their team
The Role
- You will oversee the procurement process and ensure that goods and services are delivered on time
- Ensure that you negotiate and purchase the necessary stock at the best prices possible yet without compromising quality
- You will create strategies for procurement and deliver them accordingly
- You will work closely with all stakeholders including head of departments and suppliers making sure that relationships are optimal at all times
- You will be doing ongoing market research to ensure that the company is getting the best offerings in the market
- You will manage the procurement team and always ensure ongoing process re-engineering to have the best possible results
- You will liaise with the finance team on an ongoing basis to ensure that all the procurement process is compliant at all times and within budgets
- You will assist the Audit teams
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Have a proven experience at managerial level in procurement
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and conducting supplier evaluations
- Proficient in using procurement software and MS Office applications
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Education & Experience
Preferably, bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
