Purchasing Officer (South of Malta)

The job of Purchasing Officer will require you to work with the Engineering and Sales department and you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing weekly stock levels and calculating new requirements
  • Evaluating the supply plan and communicating supply forecasts with other departments
  • Negotiating with suppliers both locally and internationally
  • Taking care of inbound transportation planning, taking into consideration transportation costs and restrictions
  • Creating purchase orders
  • Inputting of data

Working hours:  Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:30

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Maltese
  • Knowledge of Sage Evolution will be seen as an asset
  • O' Level Standard of Education or better

Skills

  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • Able to manage key internal and external relationships
  • Knowledge of relevant software applications including MS Office, Excel and Access
