Purchasing Clerk

€16,000 - €19,000  |  Malta

One of the leading manufacturing companies in Malta is looking for a Purchasing Clerk to join their team. You will bee mainly responsible for the following: 

  • Preparing purchase orders
  • Tracking orders ensuring timely delivery 
  • Updating internal database with order details
  • Maintaining records of invoices and contracts
  • Liaise with warehouse to ensure goods arrive in excellent condition
  • Negotiate for the best purchasing package in terms of quality, price, payment terms, delivery and service with suppliers 
  • Monitor material usage through reports, budget and trends

Education and Experience

The vacancy requires a:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role 
  • O level Standard of Education

Skills

  • Able to negotiate and network with suppliers
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Be an excellent team player
  • Excellent verbal, written and spoken communication skills in both Maltese and English
