Shipping Clerk - Malta


Our client is looking for a Shipping Clerk to fill in the role within the Freight Forwarding department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting and preparing documentation requested for customs clearance 
  • Liaising with clients and handling customs documentation and other regulatory requirements for both import and export shipments
  • Overseeing customs clearance for air freight, sea freight, trailer and courier
  • Assisting in the overall freight forwarding process to ensure timely deliveries

Education and Experience

The vacancy requires:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Shipping Clerk or similar role in Malta
  • O level standard of education
  • Strong command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of Maltese would be a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office mainly Excel


  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative with little supervision
