Support he company's objectives in ensuring the production of safe and legally compliant food.
Establish, execute, and uphold a robust Quality and Food Management System in accordance with relevant food safety standards and regulations.
Maintain up-to-date quality procedures and documentation, overseeing the ongoing enhancement of quality processes and procedures, and managing quality record-keeping.
Guarantee adherence to general HACCP and GMP standards, as well as all health and food safety guidelines and regulations.
Act as a proponent of a food safety culture, making certain that all staff members are fully aware of and adhere to food safety requirements and company protocols.
Perform internal audits and oversee the management of corrective actions when necessary.
Supervise and, as needed, provide training for staff on an annual and ongoing basis.
Analyze raw materials, items in production, and finished goods.
Support and coordinate investigations into customer complaints.
Plan, execute, and coordinate audits, both internal and external, to evaluate compliance with quality standards.
Drive ongoing efforts to improve product quality, manufacturing processes, and overall efficiency.
Keep the company informed and ahead of industry and regulatory updates, trends, and news.
Collaborate closely with the Production Manager to enhance existing production processes.
Skill-sets and Requirements
Exposure to the FMCG industry.
Demonstrates sound technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in both Maltese and English.
Education & Experience
A degree in Food Safety Management, Food and Nutritional Sciences, Chemistry, Biology or a related field.
A minimum of three years of quality assurance experience.
