DevOps and Integration Developer

Malta  |  €50,000 - €55,000 

A leader in the aviation industry is seeking to employ a DevOps and Integration Developer to join their team. The DevOps/Integration developer, will be part of the architecture and development team which will have a multi-prong responsibility as it requires to be agile enough to wear a technical hat but also manage operations simultaneously as this role will have mainly two pillars; the integration platform and the development operations’ side where it needs to define, monitor, improve and automate processes where possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting, supporting, and maintaining systems and applications.
  • Defining, setting, and monitoring of development, test, release, update, and support processes.
  • Developing automation using the appropriate automation tools wherever possible including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Gather and understand data sources around the integration platform
  • Maintain and develop functionality and APIs as necessary within the integration layer
  • Working alongside all members within the architecture and development team.
  • Documenting processes and automation thoroughly.

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • 5+ years engineering background, experience in build and support production environment
  • Experience in building CI/CD systems and processes like Azure Devops, AWS Pipelines, TeamCity, Jenkins and Octopus Deploy
  • Experience in application performance management tools like AppDynamics, NewRelic, Solarwinds and DataDog
  • Knowledge on Integration Platforms like MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatics Oracle
  • Experience in managing CDNs and multiple data centres and environments
  • Experience in monitoring tools like ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk and Sumo Logic
  • General understanding of networking including routing, subnets, and gateways
  • Experience working with container orchestrators and related services like Kubernetes, AKS and EKS
  • Experience in implementing infrastructure as code like Terraform
  • Experience in configuration management tools like Ansible
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS
  • Experience with both Windows and Linux systems
  • Experience with systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis and Nginx
  • Experience with API development and integrations

Education & Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science related field of study
