Site Supervisor

  Central Malta  |  up to €30,000 Annually 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project work according to priorities and plans.
  • Create schedules and monitor attendance of installers.
  • Assign daily responsibilities to team leaders and installers.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment with open communication.
  • Set clear goals for teams and manage them both remotely and on-site.
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines for team members, including operators.
  • Act as the main point of contact for team members and ensure smooth operations.
  • Lead by example and engage teams to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and monitor team performance, submitting reports as needed.
  • Motivate team members and identify training needs, providing coaching when necessary.
  • Address team feedback, resolve conflicts, and recognize high performance.
  • Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure they remain within budget.
  • Address problems promptly and report project progress to managers and engineers.
  • Inspect installations for compliance with standards and electrical designs.
  • Quantify project changes and report to the quantity surveyor.
  • Estimate material needs for projects and manage supply orders.
  • Attend progress meetings with architects, designers, and contractors to discuss project elements.

Skills & Requirements

  • Knowledge of light fixtures, smoke detectors, fire alarms, wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, grounding systems, cable management, load shedding, and distribution board configuration.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Project management capabilities, including deadline setting and reporting.
  • Professional approach to customer interactions.
  • Ability to follow instructions, innovate, and work as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Strong judgment and reasoning skills, with an ability to interpret and apply policies effectively.
  • Ability to handle complaints professionally and resolve conflicts tactfully.
  • Highly motivated and capable of working independently under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality control and assurance.
  • Flexible with hours and willing to work paid overtime, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physically capable of working indoors and outdoors for extended periods, often requiring the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee issues and develop solutions.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and schedule tasks for self and others efficiently.
