Maintenance Manager

Malta  |  €35,000 - €45,000 

This job as a Maintenance Manager is available within the food manufacturing industry.  Main responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the plant's electrical, mechanical and refrigeration systems
  • Managing and leading the maintenance team
  • Ensuring maximum productivity, minimum defects and minimising the incidence of process variations
  • Managing breakdowns of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Carrying out total preventative maintenance
  • Dealing with parts suppliers and subcontractors
  • Setting up of working systems and procedures 
  • Admin work including updating of records, reports, ordering of parts and similar

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment (food industry would be considered an asset but not a must)
  • Experience in industrial refrigeration plant management, would be considered an asset
  • Possess strong management, planning, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Hands on with a pragmatic approach to resolving tasks

Education & Experience

  • Be in possession of Level 5 education in engineering, maintenance or a comparable qualification in a related field
  • Confident in using Microsoft application: Word, Excel, Data inputting, Emails
  • Licence A or Licence B Certification preferred
