Our client that specializes in the Oil and Gas Industry is looking for an Electrical and Electronics Technician that will be reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. Your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Servicing and maintenance of the electrical plant and equipment including; General lighting, electrical trace heating systems, motor operated valves, automatic tank gauging systems, alarm systems, equipotential bonding systems, CCTV, radio and communication systems, and Profibus systems.
- Maintaining various types of motors, motor control centers, soft starters, DOL starters
- Handling low voltage systems up to 660V and LV panels for normal and emergency loads
- Servicing standby generators and UPS
- Assisting with new installations as directed by the Maintenance Manager;
- Assisting other technicians in the same or different fields;
- Operating lifting equipment or other equipment as necessary.
Working Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in both Maltese and English
- Awareness and knowledge of health and safety systems
- Experience in PLC’s is an asset
- Hands on working experience in fault diagnostics and repairs on electrical plant and equipment
Education & Experience
A technical qualification in electrical / electronics engineering at MQF level 4 or higher, OR, a Wireman Licence A and B in electrical installations
