IT Security Architect (Security)

  South of Malta  |  €45,000 - €50,000 Annually 

Our client specializing in offering IT solutions to its clients is looking for a Solutions Architect to join their team. The Solutions Architect supports the Commercial Team in any pre-sales engagements with customers to help drive sales opportunities towards timely closure, through sound articulation of the value of a proposed solution, consistent follow-up and engagement in proof-of-concepts.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Possess and maintain a sound understanding of the security solutions and be able to apply such knowledge to develop value propositions that effectively align such technologies to customers’ overall strategies and needs.
  • Conduct security assessments and risk analyses to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security controls.
  • Use effective planning and communication techniques to elicit and understand customer requirements.
  • Design technically feasible solutions that match customers’ scenarios and align with industry standards and best practices and develop and deliver client-facing presentations, proposals, and documentation that provide strong value articulation of a proposed solution.
  • Define statements-of-works and collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and support to customers, in line with the customers’ expectations and committed SLAs.
  • Report on the status of sales opportunities, POCs, implementation projects and support engagements as required, escalating potential issues to the attention of management in a timely manner.
  • Build positive relationships and act as a trusted advisor to customers by ensuring predictable and consistent interactions and providing guidance and recommendations on security architecture, technologies and best practices.

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or Security Architect, preferably in a B2B or enterprise environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of information security principles, standards, and best practices, including data protection, encryption, network security, identity and access management.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and industry-specific regulations (e.g. PCI DSS).
  • Experience in designing and implementing security solutions, including secure data exchange, secure APIs, and secure remote access.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their security features.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP) are considered an asset.
