Technical Sales Manager


A new job opportunity for a Technical Sales Manager is now available. Reporting to the Managing Director, your responsibilities will include;

  • Conducting market research & market assessment (market sizing, segmentation by customer groups & industry verticals, company positioning versus competition etc.)
  • Business development: identifying and screening new project opportunities, project pipeline creation and prioritisation
  • Preparing and submitting tender bids and BOQ's
  • Developing strategy for specific industry verticals
  • Identifying possible channel partner companies for project participation
  • Preparing business plans & financial projections with a view to establishing and achieving financial targets and other strategic goals
  • Generate, lead and structure sales opportunities
  • Readiness to travel where required
  • Managing and motivating an experienced and competent sales team
  • Sourcing new products & solutions

Education and Experience

  • University degree or equivalent, preferably in electrical engineering, mechatronics or other engineering disciplines
  • Experience in technical sales and tender preparation in industries such as construction, automotive, lighting etc.
  • Good communication skills & ability to deliver effective presentations
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint


  • Previous experience in lighting solutions and/or tender bid preparation & submission and/or managing a technical sales team is required
  • Good command of Maltese, English & Italian Languages
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivation & communication skills
  • An energetic & positive outlook
  • Highly organized with the ability to work independently
  • Proactiveness and self-initiative
  • Flexible and ready to work under pressure particularly when dealing with deadlines
